Request for filming and commercial photography on location

A permit is required for filming and commercial photography in all our parks and nature reserves. Applications for a permit can be made online via this website. Production companies should also comply with the guidelines by the Infocomms Media Development Authority.

Please note the following:

• Filming should be carried out on weekdays during off peak periods, as far as possible, and to limit hours and crew number to minimise crowding.
• For Nature Reserves and surrounding Nature and/or Reservoir Parks, due to the presence of biodiversity, requests are reviewed stringently and on a case by case basis. If the topic for the filming is not related to conservation, biodiversity or sustainability, please explore other locations for filming instead. Do also note that setup of equipment, night flash photography, usage of props and/or throwing of confetti/flower petals are not allowed in these areas. Photographers are limited to a tripod for their equipment, and are advised to share the space and minimise inconvenience to other visitors.
• If you have multiple locations, please submit an application for each location.
• Applications should be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance. We seek your understanding that last minute applications will not be entertained.

Small-scale filming/commercial photography

If your filming and commercial photography is of a smaller scale and meets the below conditions, please click HERE to submit your application.

• Is a photo shoot/production/drama/film not related to nor pertaining to NParks’ area of work
• Involves less than 16 participants
• Is NOT a query by a media organisation. This includes (and is not limited to) news organisations under SPH, Mediacorp, international news agencies, etc.  
• Is NOT a request by a member of the foreign diplomatic corps
• Does not involve flying of drones
• Does not require set up of large/bulky equipment (eg. Dolly tracks)
• Is NOT in this list of locations or Nature Reserves/Parks
