Contribute to our City in Nature
Interested to partner us on programmes that contribute to the continued growth and development of Singapore? We welcome both the community and individuals to help us make Singapore our City in Nature.
The
Garden City Fund (GCF) enables us, both as individuals and a community, to play a bigger, more important role in conserving and enhancing the splendid greenery that surrounds us.
GCF is a registered charity (T02CC1634C) and Institution of Public Character (IPC000104) in the Republic of Singapore established by the National Parks Board (NParks) in 2002 under our founding patron, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
While our government will continue to provide for fundamental infrastructure development and maintenance of parks and greenery, GCF will be used to finance programmes that are essential for the continued growth and development of our City in Nature. These include conservation, outreach, education, research and infrastructure programmes.
100% of donations go towards the projects GCF supports. These projects complement NParks' efforts towards fulfilling its City in Nature vision through:
- Optimising the green spaces in Singapore
- Supporting the urban biodiversity conservation model
- Engaging the community
- Enhancing competencies of the landscape industry in Singapore
Through partnerships with organisations and individuals, GCF provides a platform for the community to connect with our natural heritage and be involved in conservation, research, outreach and education initiatives.
By engaging the community, we hope to cultivate a love for the environment and promote a sense of ownership in our City in Nature.
