All that Jazz at Admiralty Park

Singapore’s popular jazz artistes will perform at NParks’ second instalment of the SG50 Concert Series in the Park

Singapore, 20 April 2015 - Jazz up your Saturday evening on 9th May with the second instalment of the NParks SG50 Concert Series in the Park held amidst the lush greenery of Admiralty Park. Singapore’s “King of Swing” Jeremy Monteiro, Rani Singam, Dawn Ho, Sebastian Tan  and Joanna Dong are among popular local jazz artistes who will perform a wide repertoire of favourites in the genre, from Bossa Nova, Big Band, Chinese Jazz to Jazz beats with a local twist.

This is the second in a series of six free outdoor concerts organised by the National Parks Board (NParks) at various parks as part of the SG50 celebrations. To be hosted by Chua Enlai, Mediacorp Artiste managed by FLY Entertainment, the concert will be held at the Activity Plaza at Admiralty Park from 6.30pm to 10pm, with carnival activities beginning at 5pm. Prior to the concert, visitors will also be able to sign up for guided walks, create a special origami craft for Mum, and try their hand at playing musical instruments at the music workshop. NParks will be giving out limited picnic packs for the concert through two SMS and Facebook contests. The public is welcome to participate in the SMS contest from now until 5 May by sending a text message containing <CP70AP3> <Name> <IC Number> to 77275. From 25 April to 5 May, NParks Facebook fans can share a simple message of love for Mothers’ Day, which falls on 10 May. 50 winners will be able to redeem a special Mothers’ Day picnic pack at the concert on 9 May.
