NATURE IMMERSION
New Walk in Nature: A Guided Nature Immersion programme
This immersive programme invites participants to deepen their connection with the natural world through a series of guided invitations at tranquil spots within the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Over 2 hours, attendees will:
- Engage in sensory awareness exercises to heighten their perception of nature
- Learn techniques for mindful observation of the natural environment
- Participate in nature-inspired reflective activities
- Discover the principles of nature connection and its benefits for well-being
Led by an experienced nature guide, this walk is designed to foster a sense of interconnectedness with nature, reduce stress, and deepen appreciation for nature and the environment. Suitable for all fitness levels. Please dress appropriately for a 2 hour walk through the Gardens taking account of the heat.
Please bring along the following items for the session
- Water bottle for hydration
- Rain protection gear (e.g., poncho, umbrella) – session will embrace wet conditions
- Sun protection gear (e.g., sunscreen, hat/cap) – session will embrace hot conditions

Explore the World of Pitcher Plants (Nepenthes)
Find out more about carnivorous plants that lure, trap and devour insects! Discover how these plants can flourish in your home and learn more about the basic morphology, ecology, care requirements, and propagation methods of pitcher plants (Nepenthes).
Over 1 hour, attendees will learn about:
- Ecological habitats and relationships
- Unique plant characteristics – e.g., seeing how the leaves can be modified into tendrils and pitchers filled with digestive fluid
- Light, fertiliser and potting media requirements
- Propagation methods

Orchid Discoveries: An Introduction to Orchid Hybridisation
Discover how the Gardens grows orchid hybrids using the process of micropropagation. Learn about the materials used and the transplantation process of orchid plantlets from flask to pot. Join us at Burkill Hall, at the National Orchid Garden.
