Contest Issue 33
In this issue, we are giving away four copies of a Botanical Journal from the Singapore Botanic Gardens, each with a different design.
These Botanical Journals feature beautiful, unique flowers of trees and plants you can find in Singapore: the alluring and unusual flowers of the Cannonball Tree, the fragrant and delicate Frangipani Flower, the vibrant Torch Ginger flower, an essential ingredient in regional cuisine, and Singapore’s national flower the Vanda Miss Joaquim.
Made from 100% recycled fibre, each journal measures 17 by 14 cm. It has writing lines on all pages, a postcard, and an illustration of the Bandstand.
Simply answer the questions below, and you could be a lucky winner!
In the article, “Five Things to Look Out for in the Learning Forest”, we discover some of the flora and fauna that can be found in this new feature of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. According to the article,
- What animal can mimic sounds of other birds and animals in the forest?
- What plant is named after H.N. Ridley, the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Director from 1888 to 1911?
Contest closes 10 July 2017. Email your answers to nparks_communications@nparks.gov.sg with the subject title “My Green Space Contest Apr-June 2017 – Singapore Botanic Gardens”, together with your name, IC/Passport number and contact number.
