Tuas Checkpoint
Tuas Checkpoint
All animals brought into Singapore by land must undergo inspection at our Tuas Checkpoint office. Please ensure all animals are transported in a hard crate.
Importers are required to enter Tuas Checkpoint by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority’s Tuas arrival cargo lane to access our Tuas Checkpoint office. Please refer to this map for driving directions.
Before arriving
Obtain a Customs In-Payment (GST) permit. Please refer to Singapore Customs website on Importing Personal Pets for more details.
Make an appointment for your pet’s inspection by submitting a request via our eservices - National Parks Board (NParks). Your request must be submitted at least five days before your pet’s arrival.
Here are some frequently asked questions about procedures regarding online inspection appointment bookings. Bringing your pet for inspection without making an appointment will subject you to an S$80 inspection fee.
Animals subject to quarantine
If your pet needs to be quarantined upon arrival in Singapore, an AVS-appointed transport service will be arranged to send your pet to Animal Quarantine Centre (AQC) for quarantine. Please refer to https://www.nparks.gov.sg/avs/pets/bringing-animals-into-singapore-and-exporting/animal-quarantine-and-avs-border-control-checkpoints/animal-quarantine-centre for the list of fees related to quarantine at AQC.
