Vertical Greenery Competition
As Singapore continues to develop and building technology advances, vertical greenery becomes more proliferated as it helps to make cities and buildings more liveable and sustainable. Through the support of the landscape industry and NParks’ stewardship, we see a wide variety of plants being used on vertical surfaces, building surfaces, trellis, pergolas and even, crevices of stacked rocks, adding an innovative dimension to our urban hardscapes. All of these contribute to the strengthening of Singapore’s climate, ecological and social resilience.
Vertical Greenery Competition was first launched in year 2019, in conjunction with NParks’ inaugural HortShow at Jurong Lake Gardens. Held every 2 years, the competition seeks to engage landscape industry players to re-imagine, design and implement show gardens via the theme of ‘Into the Next Dimension’.
