Anyone who carries out any of the following whether for project-based, ad hoc or prospective studies in Singapore (including in our national parks, nature reserves or parkland) must apply for a research permit:
You do not need to apply for a research permit if you are conducting educational activities such as field courses.
Do inform in advance the park manager of the respective park you intend to visit if you are planning a class project, or any other group activity, with 10 or more students within our parks.
The principal investigator or group leader of the research project should submit the research permit application on behalf of the group.
If you are a student from an educational institution and your research project is part of a degree or course requirement, your supervisor or teacher may apply on your behalf.
