You should have the following ready before making your online application:
Log in to the BIOME research permit application page.
Fill in the details of your research project before submitting your application.
After submission, ensure all listed team members (including yourself) complete the e-acknowledgement sent via email. The permit application will only be processed once all team member e-signatures are provided.

Permits are issued within 14 working days of approval by all relevant site managers and landowners. A longer processing period may be needed if your application:

Once your application is approved, you will receive an email notification.
You may log in to the BIOME research permit application page to download and print your research permit and research pass. Both are required when conducting your research on the study site.

Research permits and passes are not transferable.
Names of individuals and institutions who are not documented in the research permit and passes are not allowed to proceed with the research project.
You must specify in the research permit application whether your research is for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
False declarations regarding commercial intent may lead to the withdrawal of an existing research permit and restrictions on future research permits for you and your institution.
