A Gift Of Love: Valentine's Day Miniature Garden Workshop
Despite our fast-paced urban lives, Valentine’s Day continues to be a special occasion celebrated by couples each year, with roses, chocolates and candlelight dinners becoming the norm. But lovely as these are, many people now rack their brains to come up with something more - a unique gift idea or experience for their loved ones.
Why not join us in our Valentine’s Day Special: Miniature Garden Workshop for Couples at the Singapore Botanic Gardens?
During this half-day gardening workshop to be held over Valentine’s Day weekend, couples will get to experience creating a gift together. Whether you have a keen interest in miniature landscaping and gardening, or are just looking for a meaningful way to celebrate this special day together, this programme is suitable for the both of you!
Bond over a shared task and pick up valuable garden landscaping skills at the same time.
The workshop covers the basics of garden design, plant and material selection adapted to a Lilliputian setting. A standard set of materials will be provided for each couple to unleash their imagination to create a miniature garden.
Where space is precious, compatibility is the key. Appropriately-scaled plants and accompanying ornaments will ensure the miniaturised concept remains a distinctive element in the garden creation. Discover what are the appropriate plants and other materials needed to produce a harmonious look for the end-product. Bond over a shared task, hone your communication skills and discover more about each other through this session.
As the saying goes, good things come in small packages. Each couple gets to take their decorated miniature garden home as a lovely reminder of the effort they put into learning and spending quality time together. What’s more, the skills and techniques learnt during this hands-on workshop can also be applied to life-size garden landscaping.
Don’t worry about getting your hands dirty! It’s all in the name of good fun! Couples will certainly get their hands dirty, but rest assured that you can expect nothing less than an enjoyable morning with us.
