Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A hybrid tea rose with upright growth habit, up to 90 cm tall (in some areas, can grow up to 1.5 m tall). 
Foliage Dark green, compound pinnate, leaflets are ovate and have serrated margin. 
Stems Stems have thorns.
Flowers Flowers are large, mauve to lilac pink, multi-petaled, and cupped shaped. Fragrance rich of anise and lavender. 
Cultivation Plant in well-drained soil, water regularly. Avoid overhead watering to reduce risk of disease infection. Provide good air circulation. 
Etymology The genus Rosa is latin name for roses.  The cultivar is named after Sister Emmanuelle, one of France's admired and revered nuns who dedicated her life to the less fortunate.
