Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A sympodial epiphyte, it has a clumping growth form. 
Foliage The leaves grow alternately on pesudobulbs. The leaves are leathery and oblong to lanceolate in shape. 
Stems The pseudobulbs are grooved, many-angled and widen out towards the top, growing up to 30cm in length.  
Flowers The flowers are borne on pendulous, axillary racemes. The flower sepals and petals are yellow. The flower lip is yellow with a frimbriate margin and the inner part of the lip is orange. The flowers measure about 5cm wide and are fragrant. 
Cultivation It is best grown under light shade (70% light), in a perforated pot in freely-draining growing media such as charcoal.
