Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form An epiphytic, sympodial orchid. 
Stems The stems are slender and have a zig-zag shape. 
Flowers The flowers can grow up to 5cm wide and are borne on inflorescences. The flowers have yellow petals and sepals while the flower lip is yellow and covered with hairs which vary in colour from red to orange or yellow. 
Habitat It is found growing on trees in an open environment at altitudes of 600 to 1000m
Cultivation It is ideally grown under light shade and can be grown mounted or hung in opne, slatted wooden baskets.
