Bringing in other types of animal feed
Other types of animal feed include:
- Vitamins for pets in oral, topical, and injectable forms.
- Additives and supplements for pets in tablet and syrup form.
We do not regulate import of pet products such as veterinary drugs, and inedible pet products such as dental wash, pet shampoo, eye drops, and ear drops.
You must obtain a cargo clearance permit to bring the above products into Singapore. This permit also serves as an AVS-issued import permit.
Follow the steps below to obtain a cargo clearance permit.

Log in to TradeNet and declare the items intended for import under the appropriate HS and product codes.
If you do not have a TradeNet account, you can appoint an agent to make the declaration on your behalf.

Upload the necessary supporting documents to your declaration. These documents include a health certificate, a manufacturer's declaration, an ingredients list, invoices, a bill of lading, or an airway bill.
Your TradeNet declaration will be routed to us for processing.
All permit applications must be submitted via TradeNet before 5.30 pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and before 5 pm on Fridays.This enables same-day processing. Applications made on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays will be processed the next working day.

Pay the S$22 permit fee (if applicable) via GIRO. Applicants must have a GIRO account with us to pay this fee. You can check the status of your declaration via TradeNet. |
