Nymphaea 'Wood's Blue Goddess' is a day-blooming tropical water lily cultivar with light blue flowers. John Wood created this hybrid in 1996 by crossing Nymphaea ampla with Nymphaea nouchali var. zanzibariensis (synonym: Nymphaea colorata).

| Foliage | Light green, round leaves (15-20 cm wide) float on the water surface. The leaf blade has a single deep notch extending to the centre where it is attached to the leaf stalk. Leaf margin is lined with sharply pointed teeth. |
| Flowers | Sky blue, bowl-shaped flowers have a bright yellow centre with dark purple stamens (15 cm wide). They are held well above the water surface. |
| Cultivation | The rootball should be submerged 20 to 75 cm below the water surface. For more flowers, fertilse every 2 to 4 weeks by inserting tablets in the soil near the rootball. |
| Etymology | The genus 'Nymphaea' comes from the Greek word for water nymph ('nymphaia'). |
