Description and Ethnobotany

Flowers Flowers are white.
Fruit Fruit pods are ellipsoid, about 5 - 6 cm long and 10 cm wide. The pod is thick, leathery, and turn yellowish brown as it ripens and dries. Each pod contains 1 - 2 bright red seeds.
Habitat It can be found along streams in rainforests.
Cultivation It can be propagated by seed.
