Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is a bushy shrub that grows upright. 
Foliage Glossy dark green leaves. Compound leaves, each leaflet is ovate-shaped with serrated margin. 
Flowers Pink blossoms, borne in loose clusters. Flowers are about 7 - 9 cm in diameter, and have fruity fragrance.
Taxonomy The rose is named after Eckart Witzigmann. The rose is a hybrid by Delbard. 
Etymology The genus Rosa is the latin name for rose.
