Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A aquatic fern, it has a creeping growth habit and can grow on land or immersed in water. 
Foliage The fronds are quadri-pinnate and are held on glabrous stipes. The pinna (leaflets) measure 25 to 45mm wide and 20 to 40mm long immersed in water and are broadly obovate to cuneate in shape and are green with a light green area originating from the base of the pinna. The fronds are smaller on plants grown on land.
