Description and Ethnobotany
Growth Form | A small, epiphytic orchid, it can grow up to 30cm in length. |

Flowers | The flowers are fragrant and are produced successively on a flattened raceme with small, ovate bracts. The flower sepals and petals are cream with light green tips, the base is purple. The lateral sepals are incurved and have purple markings on the lower halves. The flower lip is purple. |
Habitat | It is found growing on trees and woody vines in rivers and swamps from sea level to 200m in altitude. |
Cultivation | It is best grown under 70% shade in humid conditions. It can be grown mounted on cork or fern bark or potted in free-draining yet slightly moisture retentive growing medium such as a mixture of charcoal and sphagnum moss. |
