Growth Form This species forms a rosette of fleshy leaves.
Foliage Thick leaves are ovate, oblong or lanceolate. Leaf margin is lined with triangular, yellowish to dark red spines that are curved or wavy. The spines occur on teat-like protrusions along the leaf margin.
