Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Small, rosette-forming agave growing up to 0.3 m tall.
Foliage Lanceolate leaves have a yellow border and a middle band divided into 3 parts (the outer bands green and the inner band light green). The yellow border becomes red when the plant is grown in full sun. The leaf margin is armed with dark red spines.
Cultivation This cultivar is drought tolerant, but grows faster under regular watering. Pot in well-drained soil and allow the soil to dry before re-watering.
