Description

Size 36cm
Description Males are green on upperparts with blue-grey heads, thick black moustachial stripe and pale red bill. Females have grey heads and black bills. Both have distinctive pinkish-red breasts. Juveniles are duller coloured, with buffy-brown heads and thin moustachial stripes.

Distribution This species is introduced in Singapore. Found in the Himalayan foothills, NE India, S China, mainland Southeast Asia, Borneo, and Java.
