Description A compact small plover with conspicuous yellow eye rings and long pinkish legs.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Habitats Mudflats, Sandy Shore
Distribution An uncommon winter visitor and passage migrant where it may be found among the flocks of Mongolian Plovers. Found on mudflats, prawn ponds, sandy shores, edges of reservoirs and short grassland. Also occurs in land, more rarely on sheltered shores.
