Bringing in finished animal products
All finished animal products brought into Singapore must satisfy the permit requirements listed in the table below.

*Reptilian leather products include bags, wallets, watchstraps, etc.
To find out which animal species are listed by CITES, you can refer to the CITES appendices.
Apply for CITES permits

Step 1: | Obtain a CITES export or re-export permit from the exporting country’s relevant authority. |
Step 2: |
Apply for and obtain an NParks-issued CITES import permit via GoBusiness Licensing Portal. This CITES import permit is valid for 90 days only. You do not require a CITES import permit if you are importing CITES-listed reptilian leather products. |
Step 3: |
A S$12 CITES permit fee is payable per species. This fee is subject to a minimum of S$60 per consignment.

Make an appointment for border control inspection
If border control inspection is required, make an appointment for inspection by submitting a request via our inspection and laboratory e-services website.
You should notify the Changi Animal & Plant Quarantine Station (CAPQ) of your consignment’s planned date of departure five days before the departure.
