Preschool Educational Resources About Sharing Our Home with Animals and the Community in Singapore, our City in Nature

Living in a City in Nature, we all have a part to play to ensure our communities, including pet owners, companion and community animals, and wildlife can continue to co-exist in greater harmony.

To help our young learners develop a deeper appreciation for our city as an urban ecosystem, we have developed an educational resource package titled "Sharing Our Home with Animals and the Community in Singapore, our City in Nature". This package is produced specially for children aged 5 to 6 years old. It aims to share about what it means to live in a City in Nature like ours and how we can contribute to this vision.

Complementing the latest kindergarten curriculum

This package of materials and information supports the learning areas outlined in the current kindergarten curriculum, Nurturing Early Learners. With these materials, young children are encouraged to discover more about the world around them, develop socially and emotionally, and build their motor, language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Providing the resources

All pre-schools licensed under the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) will receive complimentary sets of the educational resources in August 2021. The set comprises a picture book, videos, three posters, a deck of educational cards and a model construction kit.
