Developed in partnership with Keppel, the Keppel Coastal Trail offers a serene walking experience through Labrador Nature Park.
The trail features a 250-metre-long rustic path and a 90-metre-long wheelchair accessible elevated boardwalk, which provides unblocked sea views from an elevated vantage point. Journey through a coastal beach forest habitat that has undergone active restoration as part of the Forest Restoration Action Plan, and learn about this unique habitat and its associated biodiversity through interpretive signages.
Along the rustic path, take a look at the swales which were conceptualised and designed in collaboration with youths from the NParks' Youth Stewards for Nature programme. These swales not only serve as drainage solutions for the trail, but also provide complementary habitats for fauna in Labrador Nature Park.
As part of the Forest Restoration Action Plan, more than 3,800 native coastal trees and shrubs have been planted in the coastal beach forest which the trail passes through. These include critically endangered coastal species such as Ormocarpum cochinchinense, Cycas edentata and Dodonaea viscosa, which are also under NParks' species recovery programme.
