Caring for trees and the environment is the social responsibility of every individual. The Plant-A-Tree Programme is a platform for organisations and individuals to actively participate in the greening of our City in Nature by planting trees. The Plant-A-Tree programme encourages the community to have a greater connection and ownership with our natural heritage. For every $300 donation, donors will get to experience planting their own tree from scratch. One participant can attend the planting event for each donated tree.

Please email garden_city_fund@nparks.gov.sg if you would like to organise a private planting of 50 or more trees.

Please note that the inclusion of GST in this booking is a system limitation. There will be no actual GST charged for the donation and the full donation of $300 per tree will go towards Garden City Fund (GCF), a registered charity and IPC in the Republic of Singapore. Charitable donations to this programme are 2.5 times tax deductible, subject to IRAS guidelines. Following your registration, you will receive two separate emails: a Registration Confirmation email and an Event Details email regarding the tree planting event and submission of details for tax deduction.

Please allow up to two weeks from the date of your donation for these emails to arrive. Should you not receive them within this timeframe, we recommend first checking your junk mail folder. If you are still unable to locate these communications, please contact us at Plant-A-Tree@nparks.gov.sg for assistance.

Things to note:

  • Dress appropriately for this outdoor activity i.e. wear long-sleeved tops, long pants, covered shoes and sun/UV protection gear.
  • For your own safety, participants not wearing appropriate footwear (i.e. covered shoes) may not be allowed to carry out the tree planting.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
  • Due to the strenuous nature of this activity, participants who have back problems or are pregnant are advised not to participate.
  • In case of wet weather, we will contact you approximately 45 minutes before the activity starts to cancel/ postpone the planting session. In this case, the trees will be planted on your behalf. There will be no make-up session.
