About the performers
Comprising a String Quartet, Oud, Sanxian and World Percussion, the Straits Ensemble navigates the rich tapestry of our heritage and taps on a global kampung spirit to celebrate diversity.
Drawing from the rich landscapes of folk and world music, TSE is a fusion group that plays original compositions and arrangements of heavy asian-flavoured music.
Created by Singaporean composer Felix Phang, this project is an exploration of the cultural identity of his multicultural home that continues to surprise him everyday.
