Explore the World of Pitcher Plants (Nepenthes)

Find out more about carnivorous plants that lure, trap and devour insects! Discover how these plants can flourish in your home and learn more about the basic morphology, ecology, care requirements, and propagation methods of pitcher plants (Nepenthes).  

Over 1 hour, attendees will learn about:

  1. Ecological habitats and relationships
  2. Unique plant characteristics – e.g., seeing how the leaves can be modified into tendrils and pitchers filled with digestive fluid
  3. Light, fertiliser and potting media requirements
  4. Propagation methods
