Certain plants and their derivatives contain controlled drugs. It is an offence to import them under Singapore's Misuse of Drugs Act.

You must first apply to the Genetic Modification Advisory Committee (GMAC) if you are importing living modified organisms or genetically modified organisms (LMOs/GMOs).
The GMAC will evaluate and recommend if your LMOs or GMOs can be imported into Singapore. We will then get in touch with you on the process of importing your LMOs or GMOs if approval is granted.
