Celebrating Singapore Botanic Gardens

Celebrating SBG

This year, the Singapore Botanic Gardens marks a series of incredible milestones, including the 10th anniversary of its UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription! As Singapore’s first and only UNESCO World Heritage Site—and the world’s only tropical botanical garden on the list—the Gardens stands as a treasured symbol of our City in Nature.

We’re also celebrating 150 years of the Singapore Herbarium and the Library of Botany and Horticulture, along with 30 years of the National Orchid Garden—cornerstones of the Gardens’ research, education and conservation work. These milestones coincide with Singapore’s 60th year of independence, making this a truly special occasion!

Join us for a year-long celebration! Kicking off with the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival in July, enjoy a vibrant line-up of exhibitions, events, and activities that bring the Gardens’ rich history and cultural heritage to life.

Step into nature, celebrate our history, and come be part of the festivities!

The Gardens welcomes community support for these celebrations. To support the Gardens with a donation, please email to garden_city_fund@nparks.gov.sg or NParks_SBG_Events@nparks.gov.sg.
