  More than half of one-north Park completed with the opening of the newest phase of four land parcels

  The National Parks Board (NParks) will open the newest phase of one-north Park tomorrow (18 Jun, Sat). Comprising about 3.7 hectares in size, the latest phase which includes four land parcels – “one-north Park: Rochester West”; “one-north Park: Rochester East”; “one-north Park: Fusionopolis North” and “one-north Park: Fusionopolis South”, complements two previously opened land parcels and provides a larger green recreational respite for office workers, students and residents in the vicinity of one-north.

  Record number of participating gardens in Community in Bloom Awards 2016

  The nationwide gardening movement is enjoying steady growth, as evidenced by the Community in Bloom (CIB) Awards 2016, which saw 436 community gardens taking part, the highest number of participating gardens in its history. This represents an increase of 93 gardens or 27% over 2014.

  New Garden to celebrate Singapore Botanic Garden's heritage

  Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong has unveiled the Heritage Garden in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Overlooking Swan Lake, the Heritage Garden is located on the same lawn where Singapore’s first “Aneka Ragam Ra’ayat”, or People’s Variety Show, took place. The Heritage Garden highlights the social history of the Gardens, as well as its pivotal role in Singapore’s greening journey.

  NParks launches Singapore’s first therapeutic garden in a public park to provide respite and improve mental well-being

  The National Parks Board (NParks) today launched the Therapeutic Garden @ HortPark, Singapore’s first therapeutic garden in a public park. Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development, officiated the launch and marked the occasion by planting a Yellow Champaka tree (Magnolia champaca) at the new Garden.

  NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra® kick starts at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, showcasing local talent

  Following the success of last year’s SG50 Concert Series in the Park, the National Parks Board (NParks) will be organising a series of five free outdoor concerts at various parks around Singapore throughout the year. The Concert Series in the Park will cover a wide genre spanning contemporary pop or rock, jazz, classical and ethnic music and will feature well-known local artistes as well as provide a platform for budding local musicians to showcase their talent.
