Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is a tree, about 35 m tall with buttresses.
Foliage Leaves are green, elliptic to oblong-elliptic with a slightly pointed leaf tip. They tend to cluster at the ends of twigs.
Fruit Fruit is round to ovoid and finely hairy.
Habitat It is found in rainforest, up to 304 m altitude.
Ethnobotanical Uses Timber & Products: It produces Nyatoh timber, that is prized regionally for furniture, doors, veneers and panelling.
