Foliage | Leaves are feather-shaped (pinnate), and can reach up to 1.5 - 4.5 m long. Young leaves emerge red and gradually turn green as they mature. Leaf stalk is 20 - 75 cm long and deeply channelled. Each leaf has 14 - 37 leaflets on each side. Leaflets are linear, about 60 - 90 cm long and 3 - 8 cm wide. |
Flowers | Inflorescence is pendulous and comprises of many small flowers. Flowers are cream to green. |
Fruit | Fruit is globular to ellipsoid, about 1.5 - 4.2 cm long and 1 - 2.6 cm wide. They turn red when ripe. Each fruit contains one seed within. |
