Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Succulent with a columnar growth form.
Foliage Fleshy, triangular leaves are spirally arranged in a tight, compact column. Leaves are variegated dark green and yellow. The leaf surface is covered with tiny bumps known as tubercles.
Flowers White, tubular, 2-lipped flowers are arranged along a spike inflorescence.
Cultivation Water only when the plant is actively growing. Watering when the plant is in dormancy will lead to rot and eventually kill the plant. The main pest of this plant is mealy bugs.
