Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Compact, rosette-forming succulent up to 25 cm tall. 
Foliage Fleshy, triangular leaves are reddish brown to nearly black. Leaves are arranged in a low, compact rosette.
Flowers Salmon to red flowers are borne on an inflorescence stalk up to 0.6 m tall. This cultivar seldom blooms in Singapore, because cool temperatures trigger flowering.
Taxonomy This cultivar is a hybrid created by pollinating Echeveria shaviana with pollen from Echeveria affinis.
Cultivation Echeveria 'Black Prince' is a slow-growing hybrid which requires well-drained soil.
