Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is a mat-forming small herbaceous plant, generally growing to 5-10 cm tall.
Foliage Its leaves are round and tiny, about 0.5 cm long.
Flowers Flowers are inconspicuous, with 4 greenish white petals.
Fruit Nertera granadensis produces lots of bright orange to red, berry-like fruit which are about 0.5-1 cm across.
Cultivation This plant need high humidity to grow well. However, the soils should be well-drained.
Ethnobotanical Uses Others: This plant should be kept away from pets and children, because the fruits are mildly poisonous.
