Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A sympodial epiphyte, it has a pendulous growth form and grow between 30 to 40 cm long.  
Stems The stems are pendulous and cylindrical, measuring between 30 to 40 cm long. 
Flowers The flowers are held on old leafless stems, on 1 to 2 flowered inflorescences. The flowers have purple sepals and petals with conspicuous venation. The flower lip has a deep purple spot surrounded by a wide white margin. The flower lip surrounds the column on both sides and is trumpet-shaped.
