Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Small herbaceous plant up to 15 cm tall.
Foliage Glossy, green leaves are lance-shaped with a distinctly undulating leaf margin that curls upwards. It has a wrinkled or curly leaf texture.
Flowers It produces clusters of small, white, pom pom-like flowers in the leaf axils.
Fruit Fruits do not develop to maturity.
Cultivation Although some people plant this cultivar submerged in aquariums, it is not truly aquatic and lasts only a few weeks underwater. It grows best in moist, but well-drained soil.
