Description and Ethnobotany
Growth Form | An epiphyte, it has a creeping growth form and can grow up to 20cm tall. |

Foliage | The pseudobulbs are flattened and 6cm long by 2cm wide and are spread out from 6cm to 10cm. Each pseudobulb bears 2 to 4 closely spaced leaves. |
Flowers | The flowers measure about 3 cm across and are borne on a raceme which is located at the apex of the pseudobulb and is covered with dense white hairs. The flower sepals and petals are yellow and covered with short white hairs. The flower sepals are lanceolate in shape and measure 15mm long and 6 mm wide, the petals are slightly narrower and obtuse. The flower lip is yellow and slightly indented at the tip, the flower callus is brown. The flower column is curved and slender, measuring about 7mm long. |
Habitat | It is found growing in coastal forests, mangroves and damp or inland lowland forests up to 1000m in altitude. |
Cultivation | It is best grown under partial shade, mounted on fern bark. |
