Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Herb to 10cm tall, forming dense mats where conditions are ideal 
Foliage Leaves 5-8cm long by 3-5cm wide, ovate - elliptic, base color dark green - dark olive green, usually with brownish tinge, main vein and area along base of secondary veins pale dull green with a lime green border. 
Flowers Flowers to 3cm across, pale bluish-violet, throat yellow. 
Others - Plant Morphology Relatively fast growing; produces many stolons and forming a large colony under ideal growing conditions.
