Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is an epiphytic monopodial orchid. And has an erect or pendulous growth form. 
Foliage The large leaves are tough and leathery, reaching 3 to 5cm in width and may reach 36cm in length.   
Flowers The small flowers are borne on an axillary, branched inflorescence and measure about 6 to 8mm in width. The petals and sepals are yellow with two maroon bands running along the length. 
Habitat It grows on trees in hills, montane, deciduoud and oak forest from altitudes of 800 to 2150m. 
Cultivation It is best grown under light shade in a very free draining and well aerated growing medium or mounted.
