Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Shrub, able to grow up to about 1 - 1.5 m tall.
Foliage Willowy, elliptic leaves, serrate margins, bright yellow in colour.
Flowers Dark purple flowers borne in spike-like clusters, either terminal or axillary, measuring about 20 - 30 cm long, mildly fragrant.
Etymology Genus Buddleja is named after Reverend Adam Buddle (1660 – 1715), who is an English vicar and botanist of Farnbridge.
