Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Compact shrub, able to grow up to 0.5 - 1 m tall.
Foliage Variegated leaves with a mixture of purple, green and cream, measuring about 15 - 20 cm long and 5 - 8 cm wide. 
Etymology Genus Cordyline is from the Greek word "kordyle" which means "a club" and is referring to the club-shaped roots of the plant. Species fruticosa means shrub-liked habit.
