Growth Form Terrestrial bromeliad with rosettes to 50cm across
Foliage Leaves to 25cm in length, light green with pale - dull yellow median stripes, usually with transverse dull greysih-white bands. Leaf margins spiny.
Flowers Flowers white, borne in centre of crown. 
Etymology This is a variegated cultivar of Cryptanthus zonatus f. zonatus and was registered by Chanin Thorut of Thailand under the cultivar name of 'Dennis Cathcart'
