Description and Ethnobotany

Crown Very dense, up to 120 leaves in crown, fountain-like.
Foliage Deep green to grey-green, semi-glossy, up to 250cm long, keeled, with 120-220 leaflets; Rachis arching stiffly downwards; Petiole 2-10cm long, straight, basal leaflets reducing to spines. Leaflets are simple and weakly discolorous. 
Habitat Grow on open dry woodland or low hills in dry sclerophyll forests. Usually in shallow poor soil.
