Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A herbaceous shrub that grows to about 20 cm – 30 cm tall. 
Foliage Leaves are green and glossy, arranged in an opposite manner. About 2.5 cm – 5 cm long, leaves are ovate to elliptic.  
Stems Stems are covered in dense hairs. 
Flowers Flowers are showy with 5 beautiful blue petals and yellow stamens in the centre. They are fragrant and bloom in masses. 
Fruit Fruits are inconspicuous.
