Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A shrubby or small sized tree grows 3-15 m tall.
Foliage Leaves are arranged in opposite pairs, narrowly oblong to elliptic, measuring 8-20 cm long and 3-8 cm wide.
Flowers Flowers are borne in clusters. The individual blossom is small with numerous, prominent, white stamens.
Fruit Fruits are oblong-ellipsoid, measuring up to 2 cm in diameter, purplish-red when ripe.
