Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A perennial, herbaceous climber with twining growth form. 
Foliage Leaves have cream and green variegation pattern. The oblong-lanceolate leaves are arranged in opposite pairs along the stems and have entire to slightly toothed margins. 
Flowers The large trumpet-shaped flowers have a blue-violet corolla, and are borne on a cluster.   
Etymology The genus 'Thunbergia' is named after Carl Peter Thunberg, a Swedish doctor who studied under Carl Linnaeus.
