Foliage | Leaves are leathery, smooth and distichously arranged. Leaves are linear to lanceolate, (4 – 14 cm long and 5 – 3 cm wide) with acute to subacuminate apex. Leaf margin can be entire or lobed. Leaves have 8 – 20 pairs of veins, where there are waxy glands in the basal veins axils. Cystoliths can be found on both sides of the leaves. |
Fruit | Figs occur axillary or below the leaves, in pairs or solitary. Fig is almost round (0.4 cm diameter) with 0.1–0.4 cm long penduncle and 2 peduncular bracts. Fig becomes yellowish at maturity. |
